Flow

Flow measurements are very useful and in many cases cruicial to construction and many other fields.

examples of flow calculations can be found in the oil industry where the rate of flow has to be carefully calculated in order to assure proper and safe flow of oil, gas and other products through rigs pipes.

Other examples of flow calculations can be found right in our home, our cooking gas butane runs through underground pipes where the rate of flow is carefully calculated to maximize safety and proper functionality.

The measurement units of flow are similar to speed units and they actually describe the rate of material volume per time units.

Example:

cubic centimeter per minute (cm3/min) actually describes how many cubic centimeters (volume) flow in one minute.
